It discusses alternative means of measuring our success by looking at environmental and social factors as well as monetary ones. United for a Fair Economy, an organization based in Boston, MA, focuses on US economic issues. Their web site, "Share the Wealth," provides statistics, action campaigns and popular education resources.
University of Texas Inequality Project
The UT Inequality Project analyzes data from the US, OECD and UNIDO to demonstrate inequality in wages and earnings and changes in inequality through time. The site provides maps and data for many countries, including up-to-date monthly information on the US, Canada, and Mexico.
World Income Inequality Database (WIID)
Developed over the period 1997-99, the WIID provides information on income inequalities at both cross-country and time series levels. It presents data on changes in income inequality over the period 1950-98, with a particular focus on the period since 1980 for 149 countries. It will be continuously updated.
