Food Security, Farming and Climate Change to 2050 – Scenarios, Results, Policy Options

By 2050 most of the world's estimated 9 billion people are expected to live in developing countries. These countries will face enormous difficulty in producing enough food for their people, especially environmentally sustainable production. Food security, farming and climate change are closely linked. This report by the International Food Policy Research Institute provides an analysis on the scope of climate change as it relates to food security, including recommendations on what policymakers can do to promote adaptation.
