The Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ)

The ACABQ is a subsidiary organ of the UN General Assembly. It consists of 16 members appointed by the Assembly in their individual capacity. Its major functions include advising the General Assembly on administrative and budgetary matters.

The Fifth Committee of the UN General Assembly

The Fifth Committee of the General Assembly is responsible for administration and budgetary matters. Based on the reports of the Fifth Committee, the General Assembly considers and approves the budget of the United Nations.

Better World Campaign

The Better World Campaign works to build a stronger relationship between the United States and the United Nations through outreach, communications, and advocacy. Among other issues, the Better World Campaign monitors US funding for the UN.

The Center for UN Reform Education

The Center for UN Reform Education encourage discussion of UN reform proposals. It produces regular updates on UN financing and the Fifth Committee.

The Century Foundation

The Century Foundation is a nonprofit public policy research institution that works, among other things, on US-UN relations.

United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA)

UNA-USA seeks to build understanding of and support for the ideals and vital work of the United Nations among US citizens. It covers issues of UN reform and US funding for the UN.

UN Foundation

The UN Foundation was created in 1998 with entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner's historic $1 billion gift to support UN causes and activities. Through its sister organization – the Better World Fund – the UN Foundation seeks to get the US Congress pay the US debt to the UN.

World Federalist Movement

The World Federalist Movement is an international citizen's movement working for justice, peace, and sustainable prosperity. The WFM works on international democracy issues, including the UN, reform and funding.

Worldwatch Institute

The Worldwatch Institute is an independent research organization that focuses on the 21st century challenges of climate change, resource degradation, population growth, and poverty by developing and disseminating solid data and innovative strategies for achieving a sustainable society.
